Ensuring Fairness, Transparency, and Accountability in Accreditation
NACSC upholds the highest standards of integrity and impartiality in all accreditation decisions. Institutions and stakeholders have the right to appeal accreditation decisions or file complaints related to accreditation misuse, non-compliance, or fraudulent practices.
This page outlines the process for submitting appeals and complaints for both Institutional and Program-Based Accreditation, ensuring all cases are handled with due process, confidentiality, and impartial review.
Appeals Process - Who Can Appeal?
Institutions applying for Initial Accreditation, Re-Accreditation, or Program-Based Accreditation may submit an appeal if they:
Disagree with a denied accreditation decision, conditional accreditation, or suspension.
Believe the decision was based on incomplete, inaccurate, or misinterpreted information.
Identify procedural errors in the accreditation process.
Institutions engaged in fraudulent activities may face immediate sanctions, including accreditation revocation and legal action. Report Accreditation Violations Confidentially, submit a complaint to secretariat@nacsc.org.in.
How to Submit an Appeal
By engaging in Post-Accreditation Monitoring, institutions can:
File a Formal Appeal:Institutions must submit a written appeal within 30 days of receiving the accreditation decision, providing detailed reasoning and supporting evidence.
Appeal Review & Evaluation:The NACSC Appellate Commission will review the appeal and may request additional clarifications or documentation.
Decision Notification:A final decision will be communicated within 15 days, and institutions will be notified via the NACSC Accreditation Portal. The appeal decision is final and binding.
Submit Your Appeal via the accreditation portal portal.nacsc.org.in or raise request via registered email to appellate@nacsc.org.in.

Who Can File a Complaint?
Complaints may be submitted by:future and current students, faculty, or staff at an accredited institution; Regulatory bodies or stakeholders concerned about accreditation misuse; Accredited institutions reporting fraudulent activities by other institutions
Types of Complaints Handled:Accreditation Misuse – Institutions falsely claiming NACSC accreditation; Non-Compliance – Institutions failing to uphold NACSC accreditation standards; Fraud & Misrepresentation – Fake credentials, diploma mills, or misleading institutional claims; Ethical Violations – Governance, academic misconduct, or financial irregularities. or any other issues you find that is not listed here.
Decision Notification:A final decision will be communicated within 15 days, and institutions will be notified via the NACSC Accreditation Portal. The appeal decision is final and binding.
Submit complaints via the accreditation portal complaints.nacsc.org.in or raise request via registered email to complaints@nacsc.org.in. Our Compliance & Fraud Investigation Bureau will assess the complaint, conduct necessary audits, and request further evidence if required
