Accreditation Eligibility Application | NACSC

Begin Your Institution’s Accreditation Journey with NACSC

Thank you for your interest in NACSC Accreditation. As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest academic and institutional standards, NACSC requires all applicant institutions to demonstrate legal recognition and compliance with respective governments and national regulatory frameworks before accessing the Accreditation Package.

To initiate the accreditation process, institutions must first submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) along with supporting legal documentation confirming their status as a recognized degree-awarding institution.

This preliminary step ensures that accreditation is granted only to legitimate and recognized institutions that meet the foundational requirements for quality assurance.

Step 1: Submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI) and Supporting Documentation

Before proceeding with a formal accreditation application, institutions must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) on official letterhead, signed by the institution's head or an authorized representative.

The LOI should include the following details:

1️⃣ Institutional Information:Institution’s full legal name, date of establishment, type of institution (e.g., university, college, vocational institute, specialized HEI), and its physical location and jurisdiction.

2️⃣ Legal Formation & Government Recognition: Institutions must provide documentary evidence confirming their legal formation and official recognition by the Ministry of Education or relevant local/national government authority, including registration certificates and approvals that grant the institution degree-awarding status.

3️⃣ Academic Scope & Operations: For Institutional Accreditation, the LOI should outline the range of academic programs offered, whereas for Program-Based Accreditation, it must specify the individual program or department seeking accreditation, including regulatory permissions or approvals that authorize the institution to offer the specified program or department. Institutions must also include key enrollment data, such as the number of students and faculty members currently engaged in the institution or program.

4️⃣ Administrative & Contact Details: Furthermore, the LOI should include the contact details of the designated institutional representative responsible for handling the accreditation process, including their name, designation, official email, and phone number to facilitate future correspondence.

Once the LOI and supporting documents are compiled, they should be submitted via email to Primary Contact: accreditation@nacsc.org.in with a copy sent to secretariat@nacsc.org.in, using the subject line “Letter of Intent – NACSC Accreditation Application – [Institution Name].”

Submission Deadline: NACSC accepts accreditation applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Institutions submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI) will undergo an eligibility verification process, and upon confirmation, they will be scheduled for the next available review cycle.

Step 2: NACSC Review & Accreditation Package Distribution

Once the LOI and supporting documentation have been received, NACSC will:

✔ Verify institutional recognition and eligibility based on national regulatory frameworks.

✔ Conduct a preliminary assessment of the institution’s readiness for accreditation.

✔ Notify the institution of next steps, including any additional requirements if necessary.

Institutions that successfully meet the initial eligibility criteria will be granted access to the NACSC Accreditation Package, which includes:

✔ Digital accreditation application form

✔ NACSC Accreditation Process Manual, Standards, and Policies

✔ Detailed guidelines for self-evaluation and documentation

✔ Estimated timeline for the accreditation review process

Please note: Only institutions with verified government recognition and regulatory compliance will be provided with the accreditation package. Submissions that do not meet the required criteria will not proceed to the next stage.

What Happens Next?

Once an institution has received the Accreditation Package, it will be required to:

1️⃣ Complete a formal accreditation application and self-evaluation report.

2️⃣ Undergo initial eligibility screening and documentation review.

3️⃣ Engage in the peer review and site evaluation process as outlined in NACSC’s accreditation framework.

Institutions that successfully complete all accreditation requirements will be formally recognized as NACSC-Accredited Institutions, enhancing their academic reputation, regulatory standing, and global recognition.
