NACSC offers membership opportunities for accrediting bodies, educational institutions, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals committed to advancing quality assurance in education. Members gain access to exclusive resources, accreditation insights, and a global network of professionals and institutions working to enhance education quality worldwide.
Membership applications must include a Letter of Intent (LOI), confirming the applicant’s commitment to abide by NACSC’s statutes and contribute to the advancement of quality assurance.
Membership Criteria
For: Recognized Accrediting Bodies
NACSC offers membership opportunities for accrediting bodies, educational institutions, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals committed to advancing quality assurance in education. Members gain access to exclusive resources, accreditation insights, and a global network of professionals and institutions working to enhance education quality worldwide.
Application Requirement: Must undergo an external review coordinated by NACSC or an independent evaluation body to assess compliance with international accreditation standards.
Associate Membership
For: Regulatory Agencies, Research Bodies & QA Organizations
Associate Membership is ideal for organizations, regulatory bodies, and policy groups engaged in accreditation, quality assurance, and research.
Application Requirement: Must undergo an external review coordinated by NACSC or an independent evaluation body to assess compliance with international accreditation standards.However, accrediting agencies that have already undergone an external review by ENQA, EQAR, INQAAHE, or other internationally recognized QA networks within the past five (5) years may submit their latest review report for consideration instead of undergoing a separate evaluation.
Affiliate Membership
For: Educational Institutions & Training Providers
Affiliate Membership is open to universities, colleges, schools, vocational institutes, and online education providers seeking alignment with NACSC’s accreditation principles.
Application Requirement: Institutions must demonstrate commitment to quality assurance and submit documentation on institutional governance, academic programs, and compliance with accreditation standards.
Observer Status
For: Government & Regulatory Agencies
Observer Status is issued on a request or invitation basis for ministries of education, regulatory authorities, and policy advisory groups looking to engage with NACSC’s accreditation initiatives while staying informed on global quality assurance trends.
Application Requirement: No formal review is required. Issued upon request or invitation.
Individual Membership
For: Professionals in Quality Assurance, Accreditation, and Higher Education
Individual Membership is available for accreditation professionals, researchers, faculty members, and education leaders who seek to contribute to NACSC’s global accreditation and quality assurance network.
Application Requirement: Individual Membership is based on selection criteria and is granted upon review of the applicant’s qualifications and contributions to the field of accreditation.
How to Apply for Membership
Step 1: Submit Membership Application & Letter of Intent (LOI)
All membership applications must begin with the submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI) signed by an authorized representative, confirming:
✔ The applicant’s motivation for joining NACSC and how they will contribute to quality assurance.
✔ Commitment to NACSC’s statutes, accreditation principles, and ethical standards.
✔ Supporting documentation based on the selected membership category.
Step 2: External Review (Applicable for Full, Associate, and Affiliate Memberships)
✔ Full Membership applicants must undergo an external review coordinated by NACSC or an independent quality assurance body.
✔ However, accrediting agencies that have already undergone an external review by ENQA, EQAR, INQAAHE, or other internationally recognized QA networks within the past five (5) years may submit their latest review report for consideration instead of undergoing a separate evaluation.
Eligibility Note: NACSC reserves the right to request additional documentation or an internal review if necessary, particularly if the external review is older than five years or if substantial changes have occurred in the applicant’s accreditation framework.
Step 3: Membership Review & Decision
✔ Once an LOI and required documents are submitted, NACSC Members will have an opportunity to express any concerns regarding the applicant’s eligibility.
✔ Any concerns raised will be reviewed in the next scheduled NACSC Board meeting.
✔ The NACSC Board will evaluate the application and issue a final decision, which will be endorsed by the General Assembly.
Upon Approval, NACSC will provide the Membership Agreement and Portal Access to the Applicant.
